Emma Friedlander-Collins & Christine Leech, authors of the Zero Waste Series have created this fantastic tutorial for you to create an incredible Cat Coaster from an old t-shirt!
What you need to create this cat coaster:
- An old t-shirt (or a couple if you’d like to use different colours in the end result)
- A pair of Scissors
- A needle
- Thread
This make is a great example of the type of projects you can find in the Zero Waste Series. Within the series, you’ll find:
Zero Waste Gift Wrap: The first in the series takes you through a selection of alternatives to wrapping for presents, books, gifts, and more. From Christmas ideas to birthday brilliance, Christine gives you alternatives for anything you want or need to wrap. Wrapping paper which is most commonly glossed, embellished, or glittery can have a huge impact on the environment, so any alternative can have a positive effect on the planet.
Zero Waste Kitchen: The second in the series gives you everything you need to take your Kitchen to the very next waste-free level. From storage hacks to herb pots, beeswax wraps, and much more, Zero Waste Kitchen gives you tips, tricks, and techniques.
and
Zero Waste Christmas: It’s time to reclaim Christmas – this collection is all about using the things around you to bring festive cheer to your home. It’s about crafting and creating together and using what you’ve got to make unique, unusual items that you can enjoy year after year. By crafting your zero-waste Christmas you are also creating memories – something that cannot be bought online.
Emma is also the author of Crochet Hacking – the ultimate guide to upcycling, refashioning, and remaking with crochet. From t-shirts to dresses, jackets, and more, Crochet Hacking has it ALL!
