Where can I buy your books?
Our books can be bought from retailers around the world, on the high street and online. We do not sell David and Charles books directly from this website, although our book pages do provide links for you to buy. Veloce titles can be bought from retailers, or directly from the Veloce website.
If you are a trade customer looking to purchase, please see contact details here.
I have purchased a book that says I can get patterns or templates online. How do I find these?
All patterns and additional downloads are now available on Bookmarked, our free to join membership website for art and craft book lovers. Simply visit the site and search for your book. Once registered and logged in you will be able to download your patterns/templates.
I would like to submit a book proposal. Where should I send this?
We currently publish into practical art and craft categories, wellbeing and automotive (under our Veloce imprint). Information on how to submit a book and what we are looking for can be found here. We receive many submissions, and only a fraction of the proposals and ideas we receive and consider become published books. If your book is not in these categories, you might consider our Assisted Publishing service. This is designed for books that have been self-published to a high standard that would benefit from our global distribution reach.
I think there is an error in my book or I need help understanding the patterns/projects?
Despite a rigorous pattern checking process, we recognise there are occasional errors. In the first instance, please check our Errata page for any notes or comments where we have identified corrections to our books. If you cannot find assistance there, please contact us and we will respond accordingly.
I would like to use a quote, image or another reference to a David and Charles book in a new work or project. How do I do this?
We get many requests to reference David and Charles books. A brief reference or quote that is appropriately attributed to the original book is generally acceptable. More information on requesting permissions can be found here.
